All South Coast Shrimp Management Areas close at 23:59 hours March 31. Variation order 2016-523 is revoked. There will be no 'early opening' fishing opportunity in April and May for West Coast Vancouver Island in 2017. The Department is continuing to consult on the development of the 2017/18 Shrimp Trawl Integrated Fisheries Management Plan. A Fishery Notice will be posted for 2017/2018 Shrimp by Trawl licence issuance.
