Fishery Notice

Strait of Georgia - Areas 13, 14, 17, 18 and 29

Pursuant to Variation Order 2016-509, the 2016/2017 Food and Bait Herring 
Fishery in the Strait of Georgia will close to fishing at 23:59 hours February 
12, 2017. 


Prince Rupert - Area 3: Subareas 3-1 to 3-3 and 3-7 and portions of Subarea 3-
4; Area 4; and Area 5: Subareas 5-1, 5-2, 5-3 and 5-10.

Pursuant to Variation Order 2016-508, the 2016/2017 Food and Bait Herring 
Fishery in the Prince Rupert area will close to fishing at 23:59 hours February 
25, 2017.

These are end of season closures and are part of the 2016/2017 Integrated 
Fisheries Management Plan for Herring.
