Effective immediately until further notice: Due to shellfish product on BC Land Registry Aquaculture Tenure # 1407063 exceeding the bacteriological standard for E.coli in raw shellfish, the Pacific Region Interdepartmental Shellfish Committee has agreed that a closure is warranted. Harvest of bivalve shellfish is now prohibited until further notice from a portion of Deep Bay, Subarea 14-8 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure # 1407063. Emergency Closure Area 14.ss - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 1407063 The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 1407063, Subarea 14-8, Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°27.75' north latitude and 124°44.77' west longitude, thence southeasterly to a point in water at 49°27.59' north latitude and 124° 44.44'west longitude, thence southwesterly 49°27.50 north latitude and 124° 44.53' west longitude, thence northwesterly back to the point of commencement.
