FN0282-SANITARY - Emergency Closure for oysters in a portion of Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, Subarea 14-8 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure #1411206.
Effective immediately there is a harvest prohibition for oysters from BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File #1411206, in Subarea 14-8, a portion of Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, until further notice. Due to potential contamination, the Pacific Region Interdepartmental Shellfish Committee agree a closure is warranted for oysters until further information can be obtained and assessed. Emergency Closure Area 14.zz - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 1411206 The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 1411206, Subarea 14-8, Deep Bay, Baynes Sound, inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°27.77' north latitude and 124°44.88' west longitude, thence southeasterly to a point in water at 49°27.73' north latitude and 124° 44.79'west longitude, thence southwesterly 49°27.70' north latitude and 124° 44.82' west longitude, thence northwesterly to a point in water at 49°27.74' north latitude and 124°44.91' west longitude back to the point of commencement.
