FN1337-2026 Commercial Euphausiid Licence Issuance
2026 Commercial Euphausiid licence issuance is now available via the National Online Licensing System (NOLS) at https://fishing-peche.dfo-mpo.gc.ca. Euphausiid licence eligibility holders are required to use the National Online Licensing System to go online to view, pay for and print fishing licences, licence conditions and/or receipts. In accordance with the Service Fees Act, annual licence renewal fees will be adjusted by the annual rate of inflation determined by Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by Statistics Canada. Once available the 2026/2027 commercial licence renewal fees can be found at: https://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/licence-permis/index-eng.html#commercial For communal commercial Euphausiid licences, even though the fee is $0.00, clients are required to add a checkmark beside the licence(s) to renew and click "Checkout" through NOLS. To avoid delays, please ensure the payment, and designated vessel information is submitted to DFO at the same time. The designated vessel information must be submitted via the NOLS by: Submitting a Request, selecting Vessel Transactions Attach/Detach a licence to/from a vessel request type, selecting the check box for the applicable Euphausiid licence, entering in the Comment text box: the designated vessel name and Vessel Registration Number (VRN), and the Vessel Master name (where available). Once submitted please check your NOLS 'Request Status' for any additional requirements or comments. Allow a minimum of three business days for the request to be processed. Before the Euphausiid licence can be issued, licence eligibility holders must ensure that: Any conditions of the previous year's licence are met, (e.g. completion, submission, and approval of any logbooks and fish slips). A Nil Report is required for licences that were designated to a vessel but not fished. Contact the Shellfish Data Unit for assistance: DFO.PACSDU-UDMCPAC.MPO@dfo-mpo.gc.ca Ensure that the designated vessel holds a commercial or valid communal commercial licence for Salmon, Schedule II Species, Geoduck, Sablefish, Halibut, Crab, Shrimp Trawl, Groundfish Trawl, or Prawn and Shrimp by Trap. The overall length of the designated vessel does not exceed the maximum vessel length (MVL) associated with the Euphausiid licence being issued. Only one Euphausiid licence may be designated to a vessel at any one time. Any Ministerial conditions placed on the licence eligibility have been met. Upon the Department receiving the required payment, and vessel designation information, the licence will be issued, and notification will be sent via email to advise licence eligibility holders that a change has been made to their NOLS account. The licence documents, conditions of licence and receipt will be available to be printed at that time. A reminder that the 2026 Euphausiid licence renewal fee payment and vessel designation must be made through their NOLS account prior to December 31, 2026 or the eligibility will cease.
