Fishery Notice

In 2025, Area E Gill Net Fraser River Sockeye harvest opportunities will be managed as Individual Transferable Quota (ITQ) demonstration fisheries. 

Transport vessels wishing to accept Fraser River Sockeye Area E Gill Net vessels must register with DFO and be designated to pack in the fishery.

Early registration of transport vessels (packers) is essential for planning for this fishery as there are additional monitoring requirements.
