FN0913-RECREATIONAL - Salmon: Pink - Region 3 - Thompson River - Effective September 11, 2021 - Amendment to FN0911
This fishery notice amends FN0911 to clarify the area open to Pink retention. The full notice follows. Effective September 11, 2021 to September 22, 2021, you may retain up to two (2) Pink salmon per day in the following waters: - Thompson River from the white triangle fishing boundary signs just downstream of Gold Pan Provincial Park to the easterly border of the Skihist Ecological reserve along the Thompson River located at 50.25 degrees North, 121.51667 degrees West [This is approximately 5 km northeast of Lytton at Skihist Park]. - The South Thompson River from the green can buoy near outlet of Little River, including Little Shuswap Lake, to the fishing boundary sign approximately 100 m downstream of Campbell Creek. Fishing is permissible during daylight hours only. Incidentally caught Coho, Sockeye, and Steelhead may not be retained. This reflects a change to the BC Freshwater Salmon Supplement. Single barbless hooks are required when fishing for salmon in tidal and non-tidal waters of British Columbia. This includes all species of fish in the Fraser River. If you're going fishing for salmon in non-tidal (fresh) waters, you need a Non-Tidal Angling Licence, issued by the Province of British Columbia. Visit the provincial website to buy your licence.
