FN1069-RECREATIONAL - Salmon - Chinook - Region 1 - Little Qualicum River - Angling Opportunities - Effective Immediately


Effective immediately until 23:59 hours December 31, 2020, the daily limit for Chinook Salmon (marked or unmarked) is one (1) per day in those portions of the Little Qualicum River that are open to fishing.

Anglers are reminded that this is a fly fishing only zone until 23:59 hours November 30, 2020.

There is no fishing permitted from the hatchery fence to signs located approximately 35 meters downstream.

There is also no fishing in Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park from the falls downstream to the hatchery fence commencing 00:01 hours December 1, 2020. 

Anglers are further reminded that intentionally (willfully) foul-hooking fish or attempting to foul hook fish is illegal and that non-compliance may result in closure. (Foul hook is defined as: hooking a fish in any part of its body other than the mouth).
