FN1284-ABORIGINAL - Invertebrates - Area 6 and 7 - FSC HARVEST Kitasoo/Xai'xais - Clam Closure
Effective immediately, all waters within area 6 and 7 are closed to the harvesting of all bivalve Shellfish given the deviance from the sampling requirements established under the biotoxin monitoring program. Bivalve shellfish are susceptible to Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) and other marine biotoxins and biotoxin closures may occur. All bivalve shellfish harvesters must check before they harvest to ensure that the area is not closed.
