Fishery Notice

The Groundfish Management Unit (GMU) would like to remind commercial harvesters 
of the following: 

The 2019 Halibut fishery will close at 12:00 hours, November 14, 2019. 
Following the closure of the fishery, all fish caught under the authority of a 
Halibut license eligibility must be landed and validated by a DFO-designated 
Groundfish dockside observer no later than 12:00 hours, November 21, 2019. 

Please note that there is an error in Halibut Conditions of License that 
incorrectly states 12:00 hours, November 7th as the Halibut commercial closure. 
Please disregard this error and refer to the correct Halibut closure dates 
listed above and in the 2019/20 Groundfish IFMP. Any licence amendments 
requested as of November 6, 2019 will reflect the correct closure dates.
