Opening, 00:01 October 23, 2019, in the following Geoduck Management Areas 
(GMAs).

26B, Mission Group 
Variation Order 2019-588

FISHERY CONTINUES:
No other areas open on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

Note: Please see the most recent Fishery Notice - Bivalve Shellfish Marine 
Biotoxin Update, as recommended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and 
issued by DFO.  Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Updates can change at any 
time please confirm the required Pacific Fisheries Management Subarea is open 
prior to fishing.

DETAILS:
GMA 26B, Mission Group: 
1. That portion of Subarea 26-1 northwest of a line running due south from Amos 
Island light to the surfline;
2. That portion of Subarea 26-6 southerly of a line running from a point on the 
east side of McLean Island at 50 degrees 01.7 minutes north latitude, 127 
degrees 23.5 minutes west longitude, easterly to Gayward Rock, thence to Amos 
Island light, thence due south to the common boundary separating Subareas 26-6 
and 26-1, and north of line from Unsworth Point on Union running due east to a 
point on Vancouver Island;
3. That portion of Subarea 26-7 east of a line running from Lookout Island to 
the westernmost point of McLean Island.

North Coast and East Coast Vancouver Island areas are identified on separate 
Fishery Notices.

(IFMP) for a more detailed description of the Fishing Protocol.

The On-Grounds Monitor and/or Archipelago Marine Research will direct the fleet 
through Geoduck beds and GMAs.

Horse clams are permitted as an incidental catch only except where a quota has 
been established.
