Area 1
Masset Inlet - low abundance
No commercial fishing opportunities are anticipated.

Area 2E
Skidegate Inlet - moderate abundance  
Cumshewa Inlet - low abundance
Selwyn Inlet - very low abundance
Darwin Sound - very low abundance
Burnaby Strait - low abundance
Chum abundance within Skidegate inlet has been modest with returns approaching 
management targets. Returns to the remainder of Area 2E have been very poor 
with escapements less than half of management targets in most areas. 2019 
returns are significantly lower than those observed over the recent decade. 
No commercial fishing opportunities are anticipated.

Area 2W
Tasu Sound - moderate abundance  
Inskip/ Moore Channel - moderate abundance
West Skidegate Channel - low abundance
Returns to Area 2W have been modest with returns below or approaching 
management targets in most areas. Returns to Tasu Sound are approximately 25% 
of brood year returns observed in 2015.   
No commercial fishing opportunities are anticipated.

Charter Patrol surveys will continue to focus on final stream escapement 
surveys over the remainder of the month.

Haida Gwaii (Areas 1 and 2) is closed for the balance of the season.
