FN0902-SANITARY - Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish outside of Simms Creek in a portion of Subarea 13-2, has been revoked

As a follow-up to Emergency Closure 13.qq, invoked on Tuesday, July 23 , 2019,
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has confirmed the cause of the
sewage spill that occurred at Simms Creek has ceased and that no further
occurrence has been recorded since the original event. This area has remained
closed for greater than the 21-day minimum closure period required after the
cessation of this unscheduled release of 167.5 m3 of raw sewage.

As per Chapter 6 of the CSSP Manual, ECCC recommends that Emergency Closure
13.qq be revoked and that the classification of the area return to its previous
status.

Therefore, emergency sanitary closure 13.qq for bivalve shellfish, as described
below, is now revoked

Emergency Sanitary Closure 13.qq - Simms Creek:

13.31' west longitude.

Note that this notice does not describe other sanitary closures which may be in
effect, or Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP, red tide) and other marine
