Opening 00:01 hours May 24, 2019 in the following Quota Areas: SUMMARY: RU20b Freeman Passage RU22b Beaver Pass RU23 Upper Principe Channel RU25 Petrel Channel RU26 Larsen Harbour Variation Orders 2019-288 to -292 are in effect The north coast fishery continues in the following Quota Areas: RU13d Nares Islets RU14 Tree Knobs RU15 Outside Stephens Island RU27a Upper Banks Island RU27b Mid Banks Island RU28 Bonilla Island RU46b Prior Pass DETAILS: RU20b Freeman Passage a) That portion of Subarea 5-11 north of the parallel passing through 53 degrees 48.0 minutes north latitude. (Refer to Canadian Hydrographic Service Chart #3761) b) Subarea 5-12 except that portion south of a line running from Joachim Spit at 53 degrees 49.506 minutes north latitude, 130 degrees 38.813 minutes west longitude easterly to Goschen Island at 53 degrees 49.566 minutes north latitude, 130 degrees 37.416 minutes west longitude. RU22b Beaver Pass That portion of Subarea 5-10 south of a line running from the north-western tip of McCauley Island to a boundary sign on the northwest tip of Spicer Island; south of a line running from a boundary sign located on the south-westernmost tip of Spicer Island to Boys Point on Dolphin Island, then due south to the parallel passing through 53 degrees 42.7 minutes north latitude; and north of the parallel passing through 53 degrees 42.7 minutes north latitude. (Refer to Canadian Hydrographic Service Chart #3927) Note Kitkatla closures listed in Integrated Fisheries Management Plan. RU23 Upper Principe Channel Subarea 5-13. RU25 Petrel Channel Subareas 5-14, 5-15 and 5-16. RU26 Larsen Harbour a) That portion of Subarea 5-11 south of a line running true west from Baird Point on McCauley Island. b) That portion of Subarea 5-20 north of the parallel passing through 53 degrees 35 minutes north latitude. (Refer to Canadian Hydrographic Service Chart #3927) Notes: All notification and reporting requirements are outlined in Appendix 1 of the Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP). The North Coast fishing protocol is available from Pauline Ridings or D&D Pacific Fisheries. D&D Pacific Fisheries will direct the fleet. South Coast areas are identified on a separate notice.
