100 mm for West and Inland Vancouver Island and 50-100 mm for East Vancouver
Island, have been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada's Weather

sewage collection system overflows, especially occurring after a prolonged
period of dry weather, can adversely affect marine water quality and
potentially result in temporary emergency shellfish harvesting closures.
Although there is no proposed closure at this time, shellfish harvesters are
advised to monitor weather conditions and warnings, and to plan their
harvesting activities accordingly.
