FN0783-COMMERCIAL - Pelagics: Tuna - REMINDER of Hailing Requirements


This notice serves as a reminder to all USA68 Licence holders eligible to 
harvest in the US EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone), and all EEZ Albacore Tuna 
Fishing Licence holders approved to access Canadian ports or harvest within 
Canada's EEZ that as per their Licence Conditions they are required to hail to 
the appropriate authorities their intent to enter and exit foreign waters.


REMINDER

USA68 (1-45 eligibility holders): You are required the hail to AMR with 
a 'Change of Zone Report' with intent to enter or exit the United States EEZ, 
or to cross zones between the WCPFC and IATTC management zones, at the 
following number: 1-866-377-1400 between 09:00 and 16:00 hours Monday to 
Friday. 

EEZ ALBACORE TUNA FISHING LICENCE: You are required to report to the Canadian 
Coast Guard when entering and exiting Canadian waters by hailing to the Prince 
Rupert Office at 1-250-627-3081.  NOTE: All US fishers who are in Canadian 
waters to fish for Albacore Tuna require a Canadian fishing licence.  All US 
fishers intending to access ports in Canada require an approved port access 
licence with specified dates. 

ALL LICENCE HOLDERS FOR CANADIAN VESSELS (CT, USA68 and High Seas): You MUST 
hail out to AMR with your 'start fishing' date (at the beginning of your trip) 
and hail in to AMR with your 'stop fishing' date (at the end of your trip).  
This is in addition to any 'Change of Zone Reports' that must be submitted to 
AMR in advance of crossing zones (between WCPFC*, IATTC, and inside/ outside 
Canadian waters).  

*You must be registered and meet the requirements of the WCPFC to fish in the 
Convention Area.

Logbooks for the Canadian fleet must be submitted by November 1st, 2018 to:
