FN1029-GENERAL - PFMA 1-2 - Pollution Assessment Operations Langara island

Fisheries and Oceans Canada received a notification of an incident that took place September 25, 2025 at Langara Island which resulted in an unknown amount of the diesel spilling into the marine environment. 
 
The Department is notifying the public for awareness as a precautionary measure due to ongoing assessments and activity in PFMAs 1-2 near Langara Island.  
 
Any oil pollution observed should be reported to the Canadian Coast Guard at 1-800-889-8852.
