FN1453-ABORIGINAL - Invertebrates - Bivalve Shellfish - Area 3 - Nisga'a Domestic Harvest Closure


Fisheries and Oceans Canada is closing Area 3 for harvest of all Bivalve Shellfish given the deviance from the sampling requirements established under the biotoxin monitoring program.


Fishers are advised that bivalve shellfish are susceptible to Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) and other forms of contamination and closures may occur.  All bivalve shellfish harvesters must check before harvesting to ensure there aren't any closures in the vicinity.
