FN0697-COMMERCIAL - Salmon: Troll - Coho and Pink - Area F - Closure Effective July 27, 2019
The Area F Troll fishery is hereby closed effective at 23:59 hours on Saturday July 27, 2019. VO#: 2019-NCTR-01 and 2019-NCTR-03 are hereby revoked beginning at 23:59 hours, July 27, 2019. Coho Update In-season management measures for northern boundary area Coho are defined within Attachment B: Management of Northern Boundary Coho of Chapter 7: General Obligations in the Canada US Pacific Salmon Treaty. This agreement identifies CPUE thresholds within the south east Alaskan (SEAK) Area 6 commercial troll fishery during stat weeks 27 to 29 that trigger closures within boundary area commercial Coho fisheries in both countries. The mean weekly average CPUE in the SEAK Area 6 troll fishery was 16 Coho per vessel day and falls below the first trigger that closes boundary SEAK and the Area F Troll fishery in Dixon Entrance for 10 days commencing stat week 31.
