FN0573-In-season Allocation of 2019 Offshore Pacific Hake Quota

Groundfish Trawl licence holders and harvesters are advised that DFO has
allocated the remaining 107,167 tonnes of Offshore Pacific hake quota for the
2019/20 fishing season as follows;

Shoreside:      81,031 tonnes
Joint Venture:  26,136 tonnes

Industry is reminded that DFO initially allocated 26,998 tonnes of Offshore
Pacific Hake for Shoreside delivery to eligible groundfish trawl licenses on
February 21, 2019. A further 18,900 tonnes was allocated on March 15 as
carryover from the 2018/19 season (15,036 t Shoreside quota and 3,864 t Joint
Venture quota)

The allocation of the 2019 Offshore Pacific Hake TAC of 156,067 tonnes between
Shoreside and Joint Venture quota for the 2019/20 season is;
Shoreside:     126,067 tonnes
Joint Venture:  30,000 tonnes

As in the past, the Groundfish Development Quota portion (10%) of the Shoreside
quota has yet to be allocated to licences but will be upon completion of the
Groundfish Development Authority process later this year.

Fees for these additional quotas have been calculated for each eligible
groundfish trawl licence based on the permanent individual vessel quota
percentage (%) of Offshore and Offshore JV hake held on a licence as of June
25th, 2019. Payment of fees can now be made through the National Online
Licensing System (NOLS).

Once fees have been paid, the Groundfish Management Unit (GMU) will assign and
issue a licence amendment reflecting the revised Offshore and Offshore JV Hake
IVQ for that licensed vessel.
