Central Coast Herring Bulletin #9 March 29, 2019: The test vessel Windward Isle has been focussing sounding efforts in the Southern parts of Area 7 and Area 8. They conducted three successful test sets; at Illahie Inlet, Mustang Bay, and West of Waskesiu Passage for a total of eight samples to date. The spawn in Kitasu Bay continued to expand March 28, with new spawn observed on the North shore of Osment Inlet to Wingate Point. Spawn was also observed outside Kitasu Bay between Wilby Point and Abrams Point. New spawn was observed in Stryker Bay, the entrance to Yeo Cove, the Western shore of Watch Island and West of Waskesiu Pass. No new spawn was observed at Norman Morison Bay. Spawn at Bullen Rock continues to spread to the West, spawn in Troup Passage has expanded.
