Central Coast Herring Bulletin #5 March 24, 2019: The charter vessel Windward Isle sounded Spiller Channel, Return Passage, Troup Passage and Dundivan Inlet, they made successful sets in Spiller Channel near Cheenis, and a second successful set at Dundivan Inlet near Hose Point. Windward Isle is headed to East Higgins Pass. CCG Vector workboat conducted shoreline assessments of Moss Passage, Lady Trutch Passage, Lambard Inlet, Reid Passage, Cecelia Island, Watch Island, Powell Anchorage, Berry inlet and Dundivan Inlet to Rait Narrows. No spawn was observed. The second herring flight is being conducted March 23 at 1300hrs. It will cover the North and South routes. Results of that flight will be posted soon after.
