North Coast Herring Update
Area 5 - Kitkatla

March 25, 2019 (21:30 hours): 
Sounding operations continued along the top and east side of Gurd Island in the 
afternoon and evening.  Spawn has expanded at Dries Inlet and Kitkatla Inlet 
with increased bird and whale activity.  
March 26, 2019 (21:00 hrs):
Operations continued today.  Spawn at Dries Inlet and Kitkatla Creek has 
expanded to greater than 3 miles.

Skimmer - Herring spread out near the surface, difficult to quantify
Fish on bottom (FOB) - Herring too close to the bottom to quantify
NFF - No Fish Found
Washed out spawn - Spawn that is coming to an end
Miles - Means nautical miles for this bulletin
