North Coast Herring Update Area 4 - Big Bay March 25, 2019: Spawn appears to have turned the corner around Ryan Pt and extended into Duncan Bay. Bird activity was observed on the north end of Tugwell Island. Observations: Pearl Harbour: March 25, estimated 150 t. West of Burnt Cliff: March 25, NFF Venn Passage: March 25, small school estimated 75 t. Area 5 - Kitkatla March 22, 2019 (18:30 hours): Spawn appears to have subsided along Dries Inlet. Increased bird activity at Kitkatla Creek. March 25, 2019: Operations resumed again this morning and will continue today throughout the inlet. Observations: Gasboat Pass - March 25: FOB Chief Point - March 25: FOB Porcher Peninsula - March 22: 1000 t.
