FN0252-ABORIGINAL - Invertebrates - Bivalve Shellfish - Area 7 - FSC Harvest Closure - Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, all waters within Area 7 are closed to the harvesting of all bivalve Shellfish. Fish harvesters are advised that there are other contaminated closures in the vicinity. Information on specific closure areas is available on the internet at: http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/contamination/index-eng.htm Bivalve shellfish are susceptible to Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) and other marine biotoxins and biotoxin closures may occur. All bivalve shellfish harvesters must check before they harvest to ensure that the area is not closed.
