North Coast Herring Update Area 5 - Kitkatla March 19, 2019 (pm): Sounding continued at the top side of Gurd to Serpentine and Dries Inlet and in the evening along the East side of Gurd to the top end. March 20, 2019 (12:40 hours): Sounding began towards Serpentine Inlet and along to Dries Inlet this morning. Bubbling schools were observed near Wilcox Group. Temperature at Dries Inlet is 7.0 degrees Celsius. Increased bird and whale activity observed at Dries Inlet and spawn appears to have begun along the shore. A set was made at Dries Inlet at 10:30 on 300 t.
