March 16, 2019: 

Whales observed west of Tree Bluff, Big Bay, and Finlayson Island along the 60 
fm edge.
Herring observed west of Tree Bluff/Red Canbouy in 40 fm, estimated 750 t

Tugwell Island (along 60 fm edge): NFF
Trenham Pt./Hogans Ledge: 1500 t 40-50 fm
Slippery Rock (along 60 fm edge): NFF
Big Bay: estimated 1000 t west of South Passage
Cunningham Pass (south): broken scratches
East of Gordon Pt./North End of Finlayson Island: estimated 400 t
Sparrowhawk Rock: Scratches

Broken Schools 40 to 50 fm west of Tree Bluff estimated 6000 t.
Broken surface scratches out deep west of Tree Bluff.
Broken scratches north of Tugwell Island.
Broken schools west of Trenham Pt./South Passed estimated 1500 t 40 to 50 fm.

Observations:
Cunningham Pass: NFF
Harbour Reefs west of Lax Kw'alaams: estimated 600 t.
Sparrowhawk Rock: estimated 200 t.

Definitions:
Scratches - Herring present in small schools 1 to 2 tons
Skimmer - Herring spread out near the surface, difficult to quantify
Fish on bottom (FOB) - Herring too close to the bottom to quantify
NFF - No Fish Found
Washed out spawn - Spawn that is coming to an end
Miles - Means nautical miles for this bulletin
