Fishery Notice

A Freshwater/Land-based Aquaculture Industry Advisory Panel (FLAIAP) Meeting is 
scheduled to take place at the DFO Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo, BC on 
April 17, 2018.  The meeting will provide updates and opportunity to comment on 
various topics, including: aquaculture regulatory reform, the Canadian Food 
Inspection Agency compartment program and recent fish imports, DFO aquaculture 
licensing activities over the last year, aquaculture innovation funding and 
licence holder presentation(s).  Freshwater/Land-based aquaculture licence 
holders will also have an opportunity to meet as a group after the meeting 
concludes. 

Industry is invited to make presentations.  Please contact us if you'd like to 
present. 

To ensure adequate seating room at the upcoming meeting or to arrange receipt 
of the teleconference dial in details, please notify Monica Walker at 
freshwater.aquaculture@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.  

Meeting materials will be shared in advance of the meeting.  

The next meeting is tentatively planned for September 27, 2018 in Vancouver.
