FN1294-ABORIGINAL - Invertebrates - ALL Bivalve Shellfish - Area 6 - FSC Harvest CLOSING - Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, portions of Pacific Fisheries Management Area 6 are closed to all harvesting of bivalve shellfish. This closure is due to a lapse in sample submissions for the marine biotoxin monitoring program. Fishers are advised that bivalve shellfish are susceptible to Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) and other forms of contamination and closures may occur. All bivalve shellfish harvesters must check before harvesting to ensure there are no closures in the vicinity.
