Fishery Notice

Harvest for Razor Clams, by hand digging, will open from 00:01 hours December 
14 to 23:59 hours December 22, 2017 in Subarea 1-5, only. 


This opening is included as a part of the 2016-2018 Razor Clam Joint Management 
Plan, developed by the Council of the Haida National and Fisheries and Oceans 
Canada.  This fishery is open when tides are 5.5 foot or less. 

All harvesters must be in possession of the Area Z2 Clam Licence or a 
Designation Card issued by the Council of the Haida Nation.

Harvesters are reminded to check Marine Biotoxin Fishery Notices online, or 
contact their nearest DFO office for up to date biotoxin and sanitary 
contamination closures, PRIOR to harvesting.  It is illegal to harvest within 
these closures zones.
