FN1255-YUKON/TBR - Salmon - Stikine and Taku Rivers - 2018 Chinook Salmon Forecasts for the Stikine and Taku Rivers
Stikine River (drainage): The 2018 forecast of large Stikine River Chinook salmon terminal run is 6,900 with a 95% confidence interval of 1,500 to 12,500 fish. The Stikine River terminal run forecast, even with zero harvest, is below the lower bound of the escapement goal range of 14,000 to 28,000. Taku River (drainage): The 2018 forecast of large Taku River Chinook salmon terminal run is 4,700 with a 95% confidence interval of 2,200 to 7,200 fish. The Taku River terminal run forecast, even with zero harvest, is below the lower bound of the escapement goal range of 19,000 to 36,000.
