Opening 00:01 Hours November 30, 2017 in the following Geoduck Management Areas (GMAs): SUMMARY: PRC01, Wreck Islands PRC03, Banks Island South Variation Order No. 2017-617 The north coast fishery continues in the following GMAs: PRA14, Moore Islands Variation Order No. 2017-558 PRA01, Duckers Island PRA02, Surf Inlet Variation Order No. 2017-610 Note: Please see the most recent Fishery Notice - Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Update, as recommended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and issued by DFO. Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Updates can change at any time please confirm the required Pacific Fisheries Management Subarea is open prior to fishing. DETAILS: GMA PRC01, Wreck Islands: That portion of Subarea 5-22 north of 53 degrees 19 minutes north latitude. GMA PRC03, Banks Island South: That portion of Subarea 5-22 south of 53 degrees 16 minutes north latitude. NOTES: South Coast areas are identified on separate Fishery Notices. See the 2017/18 Geoduck and Horse Clam Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP) for a more detailed description of the Fishing Protocol. The On-Grounds Monitor and/or Archipelago Marine Research will direct the fleet through geoduck beds and GMAs.
