FN1193-COMMERCIAL - Invertebrates: Pacific Oyster - Closure of Wild Pacific Oyster Fishery in All Harvest Sites at 23:59 hours November 15, 2017
The commercial wild Pacific oyster fishery will close effective 23:59 hours on November 15, 2017. All commercial wild Pacific oyster harvest sites will close, as scheduled in the current IFMP. The following harvest sites (described within the IFMP) will close: Area 13 Harvest Areas: Shark Spit Smelt Bay Bird Cove Area 15 Harvest Areas: Myrtle Rocks Savary Island Hernando Reef East Hernando West Hernando Stag and Dog Bays Lloyd Point Mink Island Seaford Tenedos Bay Waddington Area 16 Harvest Areas: Killam Bay Blind Bay Davie Bay Mouat Bay St. Vincent Bay AREA 23 Harvest Areas: Pipestem Inlet Toquaht AREA 25 Harvest Areas: Hisnit Tahsis Inlet Mooyah Bay Variation Order 2017-463 is revoked. NOTES: All licence holders are reminded to submit their harvest logbooks for the season. Reporting requirements are outlined in the 2017/18 Pacific Oyster IFMP, and in the 2017/18 licence conditions.
