Fishery Notice

Area 7
There will be no commercial opportunity in Area 7 the week of October 8-14, 
2017.  Further openings will be subject to the results of ongoing assessments 
of local river systems, and the hatcheries in Klemtu and Bella Bella.

The estimated total chum salmon return to date in Neekas Creek is estimated at 
9760 fish.

Further commercial fisheries are not anticipated for this season.  Stock 
assessments are ongoing.  

The next notice will be October 12, 2017.
