Area 2 Chum - Update

Area 2E:

Skidegate Inlet - Improved abundance over last year however stocks remain below 
management targets.

Cumshewa Inlet - Decline in abundance over last couple seasons with stocks 
significantly below management targets.

Selwyn Inlet - Decline in abundance over last couple seasons with stocks 
significantly below management targets.

Darwin Sound - Below management targets.

Juan Perez - Below management targets.

Skincuttle Inlet - Below management targets.

Assessment by Area 2E Charter Patrol and Haida Fisheries Program will continue 
over the coming week.  Commercial fishing opportunities are not anticipated. 

Area 2W:

Tasu Sound - Abundance similar to last season and returns at management 
targets.  

Englefield Sound - Abundance similar to last season with returns at 
approximately 80% of management targets.

Area 2W Charter Patrol is expected in Tasu Sound over the weekend and will 
continue north to Englefield Sound and West Skidegate over next week.  
Commercial fishing opportunities are not anticipated.
