Fishery Notice

Area 2 chum - September 21 update

Charter Patrol assessment of Haida Gwaii terminal chum began on September 15.  
Current chum abundance by area as follows:

Area 2E:
Cumshewa Inlet - below management targets 
Selwyn Inlet - below management targets 
Darwin Sound - below management targets 

Area 2E Charter Patrol is continuing south and will assess streams in 
Juan Perez over the next week. Commercial fishing opportunities of Area 2E chum 
stocks are not anticipated. 

Area 2W:
Tasu Sound - at management targets

Area 2W Charter Patrol is continuing north to Englefield Sound over remaining 
week. Commercial fishing opportunities in Tasu Sound are not anticipated. 

The next update will be September 28.
