FN0979-Inseason Changes to the 2017/2018 Groundfish Trawl Harvest Plan re - Adjustments to Some Temporary Groundfish Trawl Quota Vessel Species Caps
Groundfish Trawl licence holders and harvesters are advised of the following harvest plan changes that have been adopted for the 2017/2018 Commercial Groundfish Trawl Fishery effective immediately. These changes were discussed and recommended to DFO by the Groundfish Trawl Advisory Committee at its September 13, 2017 meeting. The following Individual Groundfish Trawl Temporary Quota Species Caps changes are in effect for Groundfish Trawl fishery for the remainder of the 2017/2018 fishing season: Yellowtail Rockfish ------from-------7%-----to-----10% Widow Rockfish------------from-------10%----to-----20% Canary Rockfish-----------from-------7%-----to-----10% Silvergray Rockfish-------from-------8%-----to----9% Pacific Ocean Perch-------from-------9%-----to-----12% Yellowmouth Rockfish------from-------7%-----to----10% Rougheye Rockfish---------from------12%-----to-----15% Redstripe Rockfish--------from------10%-----to-----15% Dover Sole----------------from------15%-----to-----20% English/Lemon Sole--------from------20%-----to-----40% Petrale Sole--------------from-------8%-----to-----10% Sablefish-----------------from-------7%-----to-----10% Walleye Pollock-----------from------20%-----to-----30% Hake (Gulf of Georgia)----from------30%-----to-----40% Arrowtooth Flounder-------from-----17%-----to-----20% Longnose Skate------------from-------8%-----to-----10% For more information please call Rob Tadey, Groundfish Trawl Co-ordinator at 604-666-3991.
