Fishery Notice

Area 7
There will be no commercial opportunity in Area 7 the week of September 10-16, 
2017.  Further openings are anticipated, but will be subject to the results of 
ongoing assessments of local river systems and the hatcheries in Klemtu and 
Bella Bella.

The total chum salmon return to date in Neekas Creek is estimated at 1100 
fish.  

Area 8
No further commercial opportunities are anticipated for Area 8.  

Stock assessments are ongoing.  The next notice will be September 14, 2017.
