FN0715-RECREATIONAL - Salmon - Chinook - Nass River - Region 6 - Closing July 28, 2017
Recreational chinook salmon fishing in the Nass River watershed is closed effective July 28, 2017 until further notice. V.O. #2017-361 This closure is being implemented to address conservation concerns for Nass chinook. Monitoring of escapement levels for chinook and other species of salmon will continue through the Nisga'a fish wheel program. Stock assessment updates for the Nass area are available on the Nisga'a Lisims Government website at: http://www.nisgaanation.ca/stock-assessments Notes: Did you witness suspicious fishing activity or a violation?
