Closing 23:59 June 23, 2017 in the following Geoduck Management Areas (GMAs): SUMMARY: 16A02, West Texada Island -Favada Point to Dick Island Variation Order no. 2017-298 revoked Fishery Continues: 16B01, West Lasqueti Island Variation Order No. 2017-332 16A03, West Texada Island -Dick Island to S end of Texada Island 16B02, Northwest Lasqueti Island 16B03, Scottie Bay to West Point 16B04, West Point to Tucker Bay 16B05, Tucker Bay to Young Point Variation Order no. 2017-333 Note: See Fishery Notice No. FN0569 Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Update, as recommended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and issued by DFO. Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Updates can change at any time please confirm the required Pacific Fisheries Management Subarea is open prior to fishing. NOTES: North Coast and West Coast Vancouver Island areas are identified on separate Fishery Notices. See the 2017/18 Geoduck and Horse Clam Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP) for a more detailed description of the Fishing Protocol. The On-Grounds Monitor and/or Archipelago Marine Research will direct the fleet through Geoduck beds and GMAs.
