Fisheries & Oceans Canada (DFO) is balloting prawn and shrimp by trap "W" 
and "FW" vessel owners and licence eligibility holders to elect industry 
representatives to the Prawn Advisory Board (Prawn Sectoral Committee).  The 
Board provides a forum for the exchange of information and advice between 
stakeholders and DFO on issues important to the management of the prawn and 
shrimp trap fisheries.

Ballots are being mailed out to all W and FW licence eligibility holders at the 
end of June for return by September 8, 2017. 

Representatives to the Board are elected for a 2 year term.
