FN0555-SANITARY - Area 13 - Emergency Closure for bivalve shellfish at Subtle Islands in Sutil Channel and Plunger Passage, Subarea 13-16 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure #1401533, is now revoked.


Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency 
have advised that the emergency closure for bivalve shellfish in Area 13 which 
included BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File # 1401533, enacted on December 23, 
2016 is no longer necessary.  Therefore, emergency closure 13.mm for bivalve 
shellfish, as described below, is now revoked.

Emergency Closure 13.mm - Subtle Islands

The waters and intertidal foreshore at Subtle Islands in Sutil Channel and 
Plunger Passage, including BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File #1401533, in Subarea 
13-16, inside a line that commences at a point of land on the northernmost 
Subtle Island at 50°07.41' north latitude and 125°05.12' west longitude, then 
follows the shoreline west and south to a point of land at 50°07.18' north 
latitude and 125°05.07' west longitude, then in a straight line to a point on 
land on the southern island at 50°07.08' north latitude and 125°04.96' west 
longitude, then following the northern shoreline to the easternmost point of 
the island at 50°07.02' north latitude and 125°04.69' west longitude, then in a 
straight line to a point of land on the northernmost island at 50°07.29' north 
latitude and 125°04.56' west longitude, then following the shoreline to a point 
of land at 50°07.43' north latitude and 125°04.77' west longitude, then in a 
straight line to the point of commencement.
