Fishery Notice

This notice to the Groundfish Trawl Industry outlines the important dates in 
regards to the Groundfish Development Authority (GDA) process for the 2017/2018 
Groundfish Trawl Season;

1. Friday, August 4th, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. is the GDA Deadline for groundfish 
trawl quota reallocation requests to be submitted to DFO's GMU Unit. Quota 
holdings used to calculate of GDQ allocations for the 2017/2018 season will be 
only take into account quota reallocation requests received by DFO prior to 
4:00 pm August 4th, 2017 deadline.

2. Friday, August 11th, 2017 is the deadline for submission of Joint Proposals 
from groundfish trawl licence holders and processors to the GDA for 2017/2018 
season.

3. Thursday, August 17th, 2017 is the scheduled GDA Joint Proposal Presentation 
Meeting.

4. Friday, August 18, 2017 GDA Board and advisors meet to determine ratings for 
this season's applicants.

5. Monday, August 28, 2017 submission of GDA recommendations to the Department.
