2017/2018 Commercial Shrimp (S) and Communal Commercial Shrimp by Trawl (FS) licence issuance will be available for payment commencing Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the Pacific Region through the National Online Licensing System (NOLS). Harvesters will use the National Online Licensing System (NOLS) to go online to view, pay for and print their commercial fishing licences, licence conditions, and/or receipts. To avoid delays, please ensure that you have submitted the requisite harvest logs for clearance to the Shellfish Data Unit. Shellfish Data Unit (250) 756-7306 or (250) 756-7022 Nil Report for Logbook - Licence Issued but not Fished In the event that a licence is issued but not fished, the vessel owner/licence holder is responsible for submitting a Nil Report for the season. The Nil Report must be submitted prior to the issue of approval for licence renewal. One page from the logbook identifying the vessel, licence tab number, and the year with "Nil" entered in the body of the logbook and signed by the vessel owner/licence holder constitutes a Nil Report. Nil reports should be submitted to the following address: Fisheries and Oceans Canada Shellfish Data Unit Pacific Biological Station 3190 Hammond Bay Road Nanaimo, BC V9T 6N7 Where a designated vessel is required, licence eligibility holders may submit the required information via the 'Submit a Request' menu selection within the National Online Licensing System (NOLS). Upon the Department receiving the required payment, applicable documentation and information, the licence will be issued and notification will be sent via email to advise Licence Holders/vessel owners that a change has been made to the licence holder's online account.
