Fishery Notice

The annual Sea Cucumber Sectoral Committee Meeting is being held June 15, 2017 
commencing at 10:00 am in Nanaimo.  This meeting has been organized to plan for 
the upcoming 2017/18 Sea Cucumber Integrated Fisheries Management Plan, and to 
discuss initiatives for upcoming research and stock assessment within the 
fishery. 

The Total Allowable Catch, areas to reopen and the rotational fishery strategy 
are still under discussion. 

To ensure adequate seating room at the upcoming meeting, please notify Pauline 
Ridings (250-756-7118 or Pauline.Ridings@dfo-mpo.gc.ca) or Erin Wylie (250-756-
7271 or Erin.Wylie@dfo-mpo.gc.ca) if you wish to participate.  An agenda will 
be sent upon request.  The draft 2017/18 management plan will be available for 
review starting in early July.
