FN0439-SANITARY - Area 24 - Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish in a portion of Lemmens Inlet, Subarea 24-9 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure #1401824, is now revoked.
Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency have advised that the emergency closure in Area 24 which included BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File # 1401824, enacted on March 31, 2017 is no longer necessary. Therefore, emergency closure 24.dd for bivalve shellfish, as described below, is now revoked. Emergency Closure Area 24.dd - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 1401824 Closed to the harvest or transfer of oysters to or from the waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure #1401824, in Subarea 24-9, a part of Lemmens Inlet, Meares Island, inside a line that begins at 49°11.37' north latitude and 125°53.47' west longitude, then to 49°11.38' north latitude and 125°53.46' west longitude, then to 49°11.39' north latitude and 125°53.36' west longitude, then to 49°11.46' north latitude and 125°53.15' west longitude, then to 49°11.41' north latitude and 125°53.09' west longitude, then to 49°11.33' north latitude and 125°53.32' west longitude, then along the shore to the beginning point [NAD 83].
