FN0383-SANITARY - Area 14 - Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish off the West Coast of Denman Island, Baynes Sound, Subarea 14-8 which included BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File #298458, is now revoked
Environment Canada and Canadian Food Inspection Agency have advised that the emergency closure at the shellfish aquaculture lease land file # 298458, enacted on April 5, 2017 as a result of exceeding the bacteriological standard for E.coli in raw shellfish, is no longer necessary. Therefore, emergency closure 14.ww for bivalve shellfish, as described below, is now revoked. Emergency Closure Area 14.ww - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 298458 The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 298458, Subarea 14-8, West coast of Denman Island, Baynes Sound, inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°30.71' north latitude and 124°47.08' west longitude, thence northeasterly to a point on land at 49°30.74' north latitude and 124°47.05'west longitude, thence southeasterly to a point on land at 49° 30.44 north latitude and 124°46.46' west longitude, thence southwesterly to a point in water at 49°30.41' north latitude and 124°46.51' west longitude, thence northwesterly back to the point of commencement.
