Haida Gwaii Herring Update #10

HERRING SPAWN SURVEY
The Recon Charter vessel Haida Guardian is currently working south from Haswell 
Bay down to Skincuttle Inlet.  They have reported two additional spawns of less 
than 1 km in Haswell Bay and south of Marco Island.

The Dive Charter vessel Haida Spirit is currently anchored in Section Cove and 
the dive crew has been surveying the spawn along the north shore of Burnaby 
Island since Friday of last week.

Louscoone Inlet
	NE Shore-----------Spawned Mar 5-6: 1.2 miles of light spawn.  	
			 Not assessed.  
Skincuttle Inlet
	Tangle Cove--------Spawned Apr 2 - 3: 1.3 miles
 
Burnaby Strait
	Scudder Creek------Spawned Mar 29 - Apr 2: 2.3 miles 
	N Burnaby Isl------Spawned Mar 29 - Apr 1: 5.5 miles 
	Section Cove-------Spawned Mar 31 - Apr 5: 1.3 miles
	Huxley Isl---------Spawned Mar 31 - Apr 5: 1.3 miles
	W Burnaby Isl------Spawned Apr 2-5: 1.6 miles

Juan Perez Sound
	Haswell Bay--------	Spawned Apr 4-5: 0.5 miles
	Huxley Island------	Spawned Apr 4-5: 0.1 miles

Total Shoreline Length Spawned:	15.9 nautical miles (29.4 Km)
