TEST CHARTER
Soundings and herring sampling operations in Area 2W have concluded for the 
season. 

The Queens Reach is currently operating along the north side of Burnaby Island, 
and is working towards Selwyn Inlet.  The test charter will end on Sunday, 
April 2.

SPAWN SURVEY
The Recon Charter, via the Haida Guardian and assisted by the Victoria Rose, 
are expected to commence monitoring herring activity between Skincuttle and 
Selwyn Inlets on April 1. 

The Dive Charter via the Haida Spirit will commence dive surveys of spawn once 
the major spawn commences. Herring Spawn in Area 2W will be surveyed using 
surface survey methods via the Atlas, which will be deployed today, March 30. 

SOUNDINGS/TEST RESULTS:

NOTE: Sounding information is not a complete representation of herring biomass 
and only represents a subjective estimate of what was observed by the test 
vessel.
