Central Coast Bulletin #23
March 28, 2017: 

The Proud Canadian worked through the Kwakume and Koeye River area before 
moving into Gunboat Passage, and finally into Spiller Channel.  They were able 
to complete two test sets in Spiller Channel.  They will be heading back to 
Bella Bella this morning, and then into the Boddy/Joassa area later today.  The 
Franciscan No.1 worked through the Dundivan area before moving to the Berry 
Inlet side and working through the Powell Anchorage area.  They found a 
significant biomass of fish near Ivory Island, but were unable to perform a 
set. They will be working in the Lower Mathieson Channel area today.

The gill net charter Three Girls 2 continued their sounding program in the Rait 
Narrows area before heading into the Stryker Bay area and back through the 
Thompson Bay area.  They will be heading up Spiller Channel today.  The gill 
net charter Star King continued their sounding program in Spiller Channel 
yesterday, and will be heading into the Berry Inlet/Powell Anchorage area today.

The next spawn flight is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, weather dependant.

No spawn has been reported or observed in the area.
